Garlic and Apple Cider Vinegar to lower high blood pressure Garlic and apple cider vinegar have long been advocated as home remedies for many health purposes. POSITIVE EFFECTS Small reductions in blood pressure may result from garlic consumption, and it may have positive effects on the cardiovascular system. Research has shown that garlic can lower blood pressure in small amounts, the Mayo Clinic says, but it adds that larger studies are needed to confirm these studies. How to lighten hair without bleach.

Image
Hi guys so here is why chamomile is great for lightening your hair because chamomile contains three flavonoids (what gives plants their pigmentation) called apigen, quercetin, and azulene. Apigen is a natural chemical that has been found to help reduce the lifespan of cancerous cells, as well as brighten hair when combined with azulene (a dark blue chamomile extract). On the other hand, quercetin is what lightens the hair.  Quercetin is an inhibitor of tyrosinase an enzyme that limits the production of melanin — the same chemical that darkens skin and hair. When all three of these components come together and are applied to hair repeatedly, they will gradually lighten it one application at a time. This process has a brightening effect, especially if you have light tresses. Brunettes benefit as well with a subtle brightening, rather than a total change of color. It also works to gently lighten salon highlights without damaging professional jobs. Continue to rinse with this mixtu...

Onion and hair growth

Image
Onion and hair growth This natural home remedy might not sound that appealing, but it has been a successful treatment for hair loss for decades. It has been shown to help increase hair growth and reverse grey hair when applied to the scalp.
Onion is rich in sulfur. This mineral is one of the main building blocks of hair. It improves blood circulation and provides the hair follicles with sufficient nourishment. Onion also has anti-bacterial properties, so it helps with scalp infections that might contribute to hair loss. Furthermore, it contains the enzyme catalase, which is an anti-oxidant that can prevent premature graying. Onion’s potential as a potent home remedy for hair loss has also been studied scientifically. In 2002, the Journal of Dermatology published a small study that looked into the use of onion juice for alopecia areata (an autoimmune disease that presents with patchy hair loss). 84% of participants who applied onion juice twice daily for two months experienced ...

Head lice and natural remedies.

Image
What is head lice? The head lice is a tiny, wingless parasitic insect that lives among human hairs and feeds on tiny amounts of blood drawn from the scalp. Lice (the plural of louse) are a very common problem, especially for kids. They're contagious, annoying, and sometimes tough to get rid of. Lice eggs (called nits). These look like tiny yellow, tan, or brown dots before they hatch. Lice lay nits on hair shafts close to the scalp, where the temperature is perfect for keeping warm until they hatch. Nits look sort of like dandruff, only they can't be removed by brushing or shaking them off. Unless the infestation is heavy, it's more common to see nits in a child's hair than it is to see live lice crawling on the scalp. Lice eggs hatch within 1 to 2 weeks after they're laid. After hatching, the remaining shell looks white or clear and stays firmly attached to the hair shaft. This is when it's easiest to spot them, as the hair is growing longer and th...

Split ends and the use of butter.

Image
Split ends and the use of butter. So what is butter and how is it beneficial to hair? Butter is a dairy product that forms when milk or cream is churned, either from a fermented or a fresh source. This physical manipulation of the liquid changes it from an oil-in-water emulsion to a water-in-oil emulsion, because the membranes of fats are broken down and they join together to increase thickness and create the consistency that butter requires. When this chunkier, thicker emulsion if put in the refrigerator, the different variations of fat begin to solidify and mix, resulting in the apparent solid of butter, which softens at room temperature to the spreadable dairy product we all know and love. Butter is traditionally derived from animal milks, most commonly cows, so butter, as with most dairy products, is is produced mainly in areas with cows. However, other kinds of butter can also be derived from the milk animals like sheep, buffalo, goats, and yaks. Butter is a powerful antio...
